A collective of futurists · Seeding the future
Helping people find their place in the uncertain future.
AI and robotics are reshaping work, the economy, and daily life. We connect that change to the people whose lives it will touch — with agency, courage, and a positive vision.
The moment
A revolution is unfolding before us.
AI and robotics are initiating a change comparable to agriculture, print, industry, and the internet. Most people are watching it the way a swimmer watches a wave gather — aware, exposed, and unsure whether to brace or paddle. The disruption has already happened. What lies ahead is the long, ragged decade of deployment, when a new technology stops being a marvel and becomes a fact of life.
Two things are true at once. The change is inexorable, but the outcomes are still highly malleable. The pessimists are right that disruption is coming; the optimists are right that the disruption is not destiny. Between them sits the territory we want to inhabit — the practical question of which paths through this transition distribute the benefits of AI to the most people.
The future is already here. It’s just unevenly distributed.
Our mission
Connect technology with the people whose lives it will reshape — inspiring them to build positive futures.
We stand at the intersection of the technology and the people it is reshaping: in the rooms where the future is forming, doing the homework to actually understand it, and translating what we learn into stories, frameworks, and scenarios that reach the people who aren’t in those rooms. We expand the share of people who can see what’s coming, make choices to anticipate it, and benefit from the transition.
What we watch
A live read on the signals shaping the transition.
We maintain a working dashboard of weak signals across the domains below — weighting each by the quality of its evidence and tracking how it moves the odds of several possible futures.
Domains we track
Futures we weigh
Those signals feed a set of scenarios we score continuously — The Cambrian, The Citadels, The Divide, The Bazaar, The Rewilding, and The Symbiosis — to see which future is drawing nearer.
Current work · in development
An atlas of epistemic resilience — from cave art to synthetic media.
Every time a new medium arrives, it severs the thread between a claim and anyone accountable for it. The deeper problem with generative AI isn’t that it lies — it’s that it cuts the link between what we see and anyone answerable for it.
Across history, communities have re-tied that thread: the Islamic isnad’s chains of named transmitters, the Royal Society’s witnessed demonstrations, the Vedic oral protocols that preserved a corpus for millennia with built-in error-checking. Repair was never simply fact-checking — it was the patient work of binding claims back to accountable presence.
We’re assembling those hard-won protocols into a practical atlas: a reference map of how trust has been broken and rebuilt across civilizations, and what it teaches us about keeping a healthy commons through the AI transition. The contemporary edge of that map is what our signals work tracks, live.
Our vision
An Intelligence Age that widens human agency — rather than narrows it.
A world in which the people most exposed to the change can see it as it actually is — full-color and dimensional, not a flat projection cast on a wall — and are equipped to choose within it, contribute to it, and find new sources of meaning, livelihood, and dignity.
Ultimately, success is a prosperous, self-determined future for all. We merely plant the seeds.
The commons
A collective, not an authority. We work in the open, for the benefit of everyone.
If you’re building, teaching, governing, or simply trying to find your footing in what’s coming — we’d like to hear from you.
